You can download and install different applications that are available to connect the wireless HP printer to the mobile or computer devices. The mobile printing capabilities are ePrint, AirPrint, Printer Pro, and Google Cloud Print. Follow the steps given on this page.
Steps to connect wireless printer to mobile using ePrint app
- Download and install the ePrint app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the ePrint application and touch the Settings option.
- Tap the Activation option and enter your email address in the Activate using your Email field.
- Touch Activate and an activation code will be sent to your email address.
- Check your email and take a note of the PIN code.
- Go back to the ePrint service window.
- Enter the Personal Identification Number.
- Tap the Activate option to link your wireless printer to the network.
Detailed steps to link wireless printer to the network
- AirPrint is an app that is available in iOS 4.2 and later devices. It is inbuilt in the Apple devices. Link the wireless printer and the Apple device to the same wireless network.
- Check if the Blue solid lamp present next to the Wi-Fi Direct option on the operation panel of the printer is enabled. Tap the Wireless Direct or Wi-Fi Direct button on your wireless printer and navigate to the operation panel settings.
- Touch the Wi-Fi Direct button and tap Settings, and then press the Wi-Fi settings option on your Apple phone. The wireless printer has DIRECT mentioned in its folder name.
- Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password if instructed to complete the setup. Printer Pro: Link the Windows or Mac device to the wireless printer using the Printer Pro app. This application gives Desktop Class Printing.
- Download the Printer Pro from the Microsoft or Apple Store. Tap the icon of the Printer Pro application to open it. Press the Blue button and touch the Add Printer option. Click the name of your wireless printer from the queue of available printers.
- Press Next Step if your printer model is not present in the list. Touch the Print Test Page button to ensure that the application is launched correctly.
- Google Cloud Print: Link your computer or mobile and printer to the wireless network. Download the Chrome browser on your Windows, Mac, or mobile device. After downloading, open the browser and enter chrome://devices in the search bar.
- Tap the Enter key, the Cloud Print services searches for all the printers that are linked to the network. Choose New Devices and click the Register option.
- Print a confirmation report by selecting Register again. Confirm the registration of your wireless printer with Cloud Print on its operation panel.
- Once the confirmation gets printed by your wireless printer, you can access all its functions.
