Wireless connection is a secure method to connect the HP Envy 4500 printer to a network. It does not require any cables to establish the connection. Use a unique network name to avoid confusion with rest of the networks.
Steps carried out to set up the HP Envy 4500 wireless printer
- Unbox the printer from its carton.
- Discard all the packing materials from inside and outside of the printer.
- Establish a power connection using the printer’s power cable.
- Power up the HP Envy 4500 printer.
- Install compatible ink cartridges into their slots.
- Fill the tray with plain sheets of paper.
- Use the software installation CD to install the driver.
- Choose the network connection as Wireless and add the printer name to the list.
Methods to setup HP Envy 4500 printer to a wireless printer
The basic steps carried out after purchasing the printer is unboxing it. Open the box and access the printer from it. Keep it on a location which is free from dust.
Eliminate all the packing materials present inside and outside the printer. Link your printer’s power cable to the rear end of the device and a wall socket. Power up the device.
Open the tray and load unused paper into the main tray. Slide the paper width guides to align the papers in the tray. Do not bend the edges of the sheet during adjusting.
Use compatible ink cartridges for achieving quality printouts. Lift the lid on the slot to insert the ink cartridges into it. After a while, the printer yields an alignment page.
Find the software installation CD in the carton. Press the Eject button on the system to open the disc drive. Insert the CD into it and view the list of available devices on the system.
Select the .exe file for your Windows system. Choose the mode of connection as Wireless when the system prompts. View if the printer name displays on the system.
Find the network name and password before establishing the connection. Go to the Control panel of the printer and press the Menu icon.
See if there is Network Settings option. If yes, click on it. Select the Wireless Setup Wizard icon. Key in the network name and password if the printer prompts.
After typing the password, wait for few seconds for the printer to establish the network connection. If blue wireless light is stable, it indicates that the connection is established.
If the blue wireless light is blinking, you need to check if the network name and password displayed are correct. Recheck it and follow the connection procedure.
