Step 1 : HP Envy 5540 photo or document that you need to scan is to be mounted
You can start the scanning process after placing the documents on the scanner glass or in the Automatic Document Feeder.
Press the power button to switch on your 123.hp.com/envy5540 printer.
Keep the photos or documents in any one of the below-mentioned places in the envy 5540 printer.
Scanner glass : The documents should be placed in a way that the printed side is located down on the scanner glass, and then placed it according to the inscribed guides around the glass. The scanner lid can be latched after performing all the instructions mentioned above.
ADF : The document feeder tray should be piled with the required documents. Ratify that the printed side faces up and the top edge of the paper reaches into the tray first. Align the width guides in such a way that they fit the documents.
Step 2 : Mount the materials to be scanned
Select the documents or photos which you wish to do HP Envy 5540 scan to computer and then send the selected document to a designated folder on your system.
Go to the printer display, tap on the Scan symbol.
Tap the Computer option, so that you can scan to the network connected printer.
Search for and tap your printer name where you would like to save the scan.
Tap on the Scan Shortcut option, and then proceed with a shortcut that matches your document or photo whose scanning is carried out.
