Use only genuine toner powder cartridges for the brother printer. Installing other toner powders may lead to poor quality printing. The toner cartridge should be refilled when it runs out of toner powder. The toner cartridge will be present in the cartridge slot of your printer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REFILLING TONER POWDER IN CARTRIDGE FOR BROTHER PRINTER
- Remove the sticker layering the plug from the printer.
- Clean the cartridge by shaking it in a clean plastic bag to remove the toner residue.
- Push the toner funnel into the toner bottle and fill the toner powder.
- Seal the cartridge firmly after refilling the toner powder.
- Put the plug back into the printer. The next step is to install the Reset lever.
- Detach the screws present on the outer cover and remove the lid.
- Place the torsion spring into the corresponding plastic knobs.
- Detach the gearwheel and reinsert it. Close the lateral lid and secure the screws.
REFILLING THE TONER CARTRIDGE WITH TONER POWDER IN BROTHER PRINTER
- In the Brother printer, you will notice a white label covering the plug. Carefully remove the plug from the printer.
- In some cases, the plug may get destroyed while pulling it with force. Therefore, buy a new plug while ordering new toner powder.
- After removing the plug, save it for future use. Before you start to refill the cartridge, make sure that they are free of toner residue.
- Clean the cartridge by shaking it in a clean plastic bag. By doing this the toner residues can be removed from the cartridge.
- The old toner powder residues may disrupt the print function of the Brother printer and cause the printer to malfunction.
- Screw the new toner funnel firmly onto the refill toner bottle. Transfer the new toner powder into the cartridge.
- The cartridge must be sealed securely. To identify whether the cartridge is sealed firmly, tilt the cartridge in white paper and examine for any powder sprinkles on the paper.
- The next step to be done is to insert the Reset lever. The Reset lever is a mechanical device that moves with the cartridge during printing.
- Remove the two screws of the outer lid and take off the lid. Take out the gearwheel in the right and reinsert it into the appropriate position. Now remove the gearwheel in the left and insert it.
- After inserting the gearwheel, put the outer lid back and tightly screw it. Make sure that every part is fixed firmly into the printer. Try printing a sample page with a new toner cartridge. The first few pages might not produce good quality printing as the toner will take some time to spread evenly.
