How to install Epson ink cartridge into the printer
- Use the Power button to turn on the printer. Raise the scanner lid and cartridge cover. Purchase a new ink cartridge from a trusted retailer. Take the new ink cartridge out of its packaging. Rock it gently four to five times for an even distribution of the ink level.
- Tear the yellow tape from the bottom of the cartridge. Ensure that you do not remove any other labels or seals from the ink cartridge. Install the ink cartridge into the holder and press until it snaps into place. Close the cover and pull down until it snaps into place.
- Move the scanner unit. Wait until the printhead slides to its home position and the device starts charging the ink. The time takes is 2.5 min.
- If you see a confirmation message, the charging process is finished. Switch off the printer when the On light is flickering or the ink gets wasted.
- If you view an error message if the ink cartridge is installed properly, raise the scanner unit. Press on top of the ink cartridge until it clicks into place. Press OK if you wish to check the ink level of the ink cartridge, select File on the left top corner of the application. Click Print.
