You can make copies of your original document either from the scanner glass or from the ADF if your printer has one. Loading photos in the Automatic Document Feeder is not advisable as photos may get damaged.
Making double-sided copies on HP printer
1. Insert the power cord’s appropriate end into the printer’s rear and the other one to a wall outlet.
2. Turn the printer on.
3. Lift-open the scanner lid and load your original document on the scanner glass or Automatic Document Feeder.
4. Tap the Copy icon on the control panel of the printer.
5. Touch the Settings icon to make any advanced copy settings.
6. Select the Two-sided copying option.
7. Change the default size settings.
8. Choose the paper type, tray, and quality of the paper type. Tap the Start Black, Start Color or OK.
Detailed instructions for carrying out double-sided photocopying
1)Power up the printer and wait for it to stop making noise. Pull the paper input tray out and place enough paper in it. Adjust the paper width guides, if present, such that they hold the stack of papers firmly.
2)Draw the output tray and pull the extender out. Lift the scanner lid and place your document such that its print side faces the scanner glass.
3)Alternately, you can also load your original document on the Automatic Document Feeder. Do not load photos in the Automatic Document Feeder.
4)Shut off the scanner lid and press the Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color button on the control panel if your printer has a button-based control panel.
5)If your printer features a touch/text-based control panel, tap Copy and change the default copy settings if required.
6)Tap the Settings icon on the control panel to view the advanced copy setting and scroll down to the Document copy settings menu.
7)Select the 2-sided Copying option. Choose the 1–2 Sided option to copy two one-sided originals into one two-sided copy. If you want to make two-sided original, select the 2–2 Sided.
8)If you have loaded an ID card, select the ID Copy option. The printer will intimate you to flip the card over to copy the other side of the card. Change the default size, paper type, and tray.
9)Choose a copy quality level under the Copy Quality menu. To restore all the copy settings to their original defaults, select the Restore Factory Defaults option.
10)Touch the Start icon on the control panel and tap Start Black or Start Color. Collect the printed copies from the output tray. Guidelines for any assistance in copying.
