- Carryout the hardware setup for the printer. Unplug any USB or Ethernet cable from the Epson printer.
- Insert the installation disc provided to you into the computer’s CD drive. Run the setup files. Carry out the prompts of the installer to complete the driver installation. If the driver on the CD is incompatible, click the download link provided below. Choose the Download button according to your computer’s operating system.
- Wait for the download process to complete. Open the Downloads folder on your computer and locate the .exe file in the Downloads folder. If your computer runs on Mac OS, look for the .dmg file in the Downloads folder. Give a double-click on the .dmg or .exe file.
- Right-click on any blank area of your desktop and select New. Click Folder. Name the folder and hit Enter. Now run the Extract command and specify the new folder as the destination for extracting the files.
- Once the files are extracted to the new folder, follow the instructions provided below to open the Printer Wizard.
- Click Start followed by Run. Type Control printers in the Open box and click OK. The Printers and Faxes window will be opened. Select Add a Printer to open the Add Printer Wizard window.
- Select the Next tab and click ‘Local printer attached to this computer.’ Make sure the ‘Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer’ checkbox is not selected.
- Click Next and select an appropriate port for connecting the printer to your computer. Now click Next again.
