1. Prior to setting up the printer on your wireless network, get the network name and password to connect the printer and computer.
2. Place the printer and computer at a closer distance during the installation process.
3. Ensure that the router, printer, and computer are powered on. Link the printer and computer to the same wireless network connection.
4. Unplug the USB cable in case it is connected to the printer.
5. In case you have previously installed the software for a USB connection and now you need to change to a wireless network connection, exclude the USB installation before you continue.
a. Look windows for your printer model name, then choose your printer name from the list of results.
b. Choose Utilities--> Printer Setup and Software Selection. Tap Convert a USB connection printer to wireless or Connect a new printer.
c. Make use of the on-screen guides to finish the connection. When the printer has been set up on the wireless network, you need not continue with the procedures in this document.
6. Download and install the suitable driver and software for the printer.
7. When instructed, choose the Connect through a wireless network option.
8. When urged, connect the USB cable to the computer. Once the installation gets completed, print a configuration report to ensure that the printer has an SSID name.
9. Once the Configuration Report prints, unplug the USB cable from the printer.
