Most of the printers are easy to set up by using the manufacture’s guides and using the installation disc. The process might be little trickier in case you are new to the computer and don’t have the installation CD or instructions. This steps which are given below might helps you to make your printer ready to print.
- By default use the installation disc that came with your printer.
- Insert the cartridges into the printer and load paper to the input tray.
- Insert installation CD into the computer’s disc drive and run the setup application which installs the printer driver.
- Link your printer tot he computer using the USB cable and power it on.
- Search for your printer folder in your PC. On Windows OS, Go to Start or Press Windows Key and then click on the Printers and faxes option.
- For Mac OS, Go to System Preferences and then choose Print and Fax.
- Try to print a test page. In Windows, right-click on the printer and move to Properties and then select Print Test Page option.
- On Mac device, tap on the Options and Supplies option, and select Utility and tap On Print Test Page.
- If you have completed all the steps successfully, start to print a print job.
- If you don’t have the CD, you need to download it from the manufacturer’s website.
- For HP printer: Choose your printer category or index the printer’s name and model in HP’s search box.
- For Canon printer: Tap on Consumer and Home Office, click Printers and Multifunction, choose your printer series and then select Drivers and Software.
- For Epson printer: Select your printer category then choose the model or enter the printer name in Epson’s search box.
- Ensure that you download the driver specifically for your operating system.
- Use the instructions displayed on the screen to install the driver and software for your printer.
